Boenicke Audio has existed for almost 20 years now, yet we have grown slowly, always focussing on the quality of our products, not the number of units to be sold.
Boenicke Audio’s goal and deepest wish is to think about, design and finally build and market products that precisely reflect our ethic and honest way of living; and our accuracy of observing – hearing.
With our products, it’s the other way round: you get even more than the eye meets from the outside. But do not be fooled if you do not see more than a sleek, elegant product without any unnecessary add-ons.
W5 SPEAKERS
This little beast of a bass driver is capable of 16 mm linear excursion. You have to hear to believe how much punchy bass it can generate from a 2.8 L volume.
Custom-made spring suspension effectively isolates W5 from your desktop, improving midrange lucidity, airiness and distortion figures.
Walk around the speakers and you still get it all: Our miniature ambient tweeter features an excellent off-axis response. For this reason, the W5 has an excellent polar diagram – which is crucial for breathtaking sound staging capabilities. Premium class WBT Next Gen binding posts.

Adjustable bass level by increments of 2.5 dB (total range of 10 dB), achieved by means of an ultra-high quality, custom-made autoformer.
Custom-made 16 Ohms wood cone bass-midrange driver with paper (!) voice coil former. The voice coil former material’s sonic importance is generally greatly underrated: Paper sounds more natural and uncolored than any other material otherwise used.
